Key facts
- Google Play developer registration
- US$25 one-time fee[1]
What does white-label actually mean for a taxi firm?
The app carries your name in the store listing and on the phone, takes bookings at your prices, shows your drivers and cars, and sends jobs straight into your dispatch system. The vendor builds and maintains it, usually for a subscription.
What should you check before choosing one?
Whose developer account the app is published under (yours or the vendor's), who owns the customer data and app listing if you leave, which platforms are covered (Android, iPhone, web), what payments it supports, and what is included in the price versus charged extra.[1]
Publishing on Google Play under your own developer account means a US$25 one-time registration fee to Google.
White-label app or build your own?
Building your own means a passenger app, a driver app, dispatch, payments, maps and upkeep before the first booking. White-label is the faster route for most local fleets; building can make sense for a large operator with unusual needs and a development team.

How does TaxiDex do it?
TaxiDex's passenger app is on Google Play as TaxiDex: Book a Taxi, where riders enter their taxi company's code once, and it can be published as a branded build under the operator's own name. There is no iPhone version yet; a web booker covers bookings from any browser.

Frequently asked questions
Is a white-label taxi app expensive?
Vendors price it differently: some include it in a per-driver subscription, others charge setup and monthly fees. Ask what is included and who owns the listing and data.
Can I take my white-label app to another vendor?
Only if the store listing is under your own developer account and your customer data is exportable; agree both before you start.
