Dispatch software costs
How much does Onde cost per month?
Onde does not publish a public rate card, and TaxiDex holds no copy of one. What is commonly described is a base platform fee plus a share of revenue, which means the billing unit is your gross fares rather than your driver or vehicle count — confirm that on your own quote. through your branded app" with "through the branded passenger app
The billing unit
What you are actually paying for
The model commonly described for Onde bills on money moved, not on fleet size, though you should confirm that against your own quote. Add a driver who runs two rides a week and the bill barely moves; a busy month costs more than a quiet one. That shape suits a pre-launch operator and stops suiting a steady one, because the software line grows with the thing you are growing. Two definitions decide the real number: whether the percentage is taken on gross fares or net of driver payouts, and whether the base fee stacks on top or is credited against it.
The rest of the bill
Costs that sit outside the headline rate
Onboarding — and whose developer account holds your apps
Any launch has a setup step, and no reason to assume it sits inside a recurring share — ask for the onboarding figure in writing. Then ask the question that costs more later: whether your iOS and Android listings sit under your developer account or the vendor's. Apple and Google both charge for developer accounts, and listings you do not own may not travel.
Card processing is its own bill, on top of any share
App-hailed rides are card rides, and the acquirer's percentage is a separate line whoever your dispatch vendor is. That means two percentages can end up stacked on the same fare: the platform's share and the processor's. Ask whether Onde requires a specific gateway or lets you bring your own merchant account, because that choice sets the rate you can negotiate.
Is there a floor under the share?
A percentage of nothing is nothing, which is the appeal of the model. A base fee is different: it is charged whether you trade or not. Beyond that, ask whether anything else sets a floor: a minimum monthly invoice, a minimum trip count, or a committed term. The number you want is the smallest invoice you could receive in your worst month.
Local requirements are a cost even when they are free
A payment rail your market needs, a language, an SMS fallback for riders without smartphones — on a shared platform of the kind Onde is commonly described as running, these tend to be roadmap items rather than settings — ask which yours is. The price is not always money; it is the months you wait. Ask for a date in writing, or a quote for bespoke work, and assume anything with neither is not coming.
Run the numbers
A worked example
Take 30 active drivers. On TaxiDex that is the Professional tier: 30 × £9/$11 = £270/$330 a month, comfortably above the £79/$100 minimum, so the minimum does not bind. Setup is a one-time fee scoped on the demo call. The Onde side cannot be computed here — we hold no base fee and no percentage. Fill it yourself: your monthly gross × your percentage, plus the base fee. Compare that to £270/$330.
Competitor figures quoted anywhere on this site are indicative market numbers, not quotations we hold. Confirm the current rate — and the line items around it — directly with the vendor.

Questions that get you a straight answer
Ask these of Onde, of us, and of anyone else on your shortlist. The answers are more revealing than the headline rate, and they are the numbers a quote is actually built from.

How much does Onde cost per month?
Nobody outside the company can answer that with a number, and we will not invent one. What is commonly described is a base platform fee plus a share of revenue, so the monthly figure tracks your gross fares rather than your fleet. To get to your own number you need three things in writing: the base fee, the percentage, and whether the percentage applies to gross fares or to revenue net of driver payouts. Model it at three times your current volume before you sign.
Is a revenue share cheaper than a per-driver fee?
Below a crossover point, yes — and that is a real answer, not a concession. If your drivers are not yet producing much gross, a percentage of a small number beats any fixed monthly rate, including ours. You can find your own crossover in one line: monthly gross × your percentage versus active drivers × a per-driver rate. On TaxiDex that rate is £11/$14 on Starter, £9/$11 on Professional and from £7/$9 on Enterprise, with a £79/$100 monthly minimum.
Does Onde charge a setup fee?
We hold no rate card, so we cannot tell you whether there is one or what it would be — and a vendor page that gives you a confident number for a competitor's setup fee is guessing. Treat it as a question, not a known: ask for the onboarding charge as a written figure, itemised, and ask what it includes. For reference, TaxiDex charges a one-time setup fee that is scoped and quoted on the demo call rather than published.
What does the white-label actually cover?
Ask this of every vendor, us included, and make them answer app by app. On TaxiDex the passenger app and the web booker carry your brand; the driver app is always TaxiDex-branded. If a fully branded driver app is a hard requirement, we are the wrong answer and you should weight that heavily. For Onde, ask the same question and add a second: whose Apple and Google developer accounts hold the listings, because that decides whether your installed base travels.
How long does moving off Onde take?
Our published protocol runs fourteen days: export and rule rebuild first, then both systems live with drivers carrying both apps, then cutover shift by shift starting overnight. The old system stays licensed as rollback and is decommissioned only after clean days on the new one. That is a protocol, not a guarantee. On an app-first platform the data is the easy half — the harder half is the passenger app listings and whether riders have to install something new.
