Dispatch software costs
How much does Cab Treasure cost per month?
Cab Treasure does not publish a price list and we hold no rate card for it, so no honest monthly figure exists — anyone quoting one precisely is guessing. It is quoted per fleet, commonly as a software licence counted against vehicles rather than active drivers; confirm which on your quote. Ask about two costs that may sit outside that licence: any one-time implementation fee, and hardware you buy and maintain. We hold no figure for either, and neither is published.
The billing unit
What you are actually paying for
Treat the billing unit as unconfirmed until your quote states it. Cab Treasure is sold as an installed dispatch suite quoted per fleet, and its records and licences have commonly been organised around vehicles rather than active drivers. That matters more than the rate. A vehicle-counted licence bills the metal: spares, seasonal cars and a vehicle parked all winter keep charging, while one car worked by a day driver and a night driver is billed once. A driver-counted licence does the reverse. Count both numbers for your own fleet before comparing any two rates.
The rest of the bill
Costs that sit outside the headline rate
The one-time implementation fee
An installed system has to be installed: server or workstation setup, zone and tariff configuration, data migration and dispatcher training, quoted as a one-off separate from the licence. We hold no Cab Treasure figure. Across this market implementation is commonly quoted from £1,200 to £15,000 depending on fleet size and migration scope — a market range, indicative only, not a Cab Treasure price.
Hardware you buy, own and replace
The licence-plus-hardware model puts kit on your balance sheet: office machines running the console, and whatever in-car equipment the install specifies. You buy it, you maintain it, you replace it, and the cost does not shrink when your fleet does. Ask what is required versus optional, what the replacement cycle looks like, and whether any of it is financed on a separate agreement.
Extra dispatcher positions
If the console is desktop-installed, as the product is commonly described, it lives on specific office machines rather than on any browser login — confirm that on your quote, along with how it is licensed." In the switching-cost FAQ, change "expect vehicle-centric records, so driver mapping needs rebuilding" to "ask whether the records are vehicle-centric or driver-centric, because if they are vehicle-centric the driver mapping has to be rebuilt Whether that is also how it is licensed is a question for your quote. Either way, an extra position at the airport stand, a second office, or a dispatcher covering Sunday from home becomes a hardware and licensing exercise. Ask the cost of one more position.
Support, upgrades and the notice period
Ask whether support and version upgrades sit inside the licence or are billed as an annual maintenance percentage — on installed software they are commonly quoted separately, and a version jump can carry its own services charge for the work of doing it. Then ask the notice period. On a per-fleet quote the exit terms cost you as much as the rate.
Run the numbers
A worked example
Take a 30-driver fleet. On TaxiDex that lands in Professional (21–100 drivers) at £9/$11 per active driver, so 30 × £9 = £270 a month, or 30 × $11 = $330. The £79/$100 minimum does not bind here — it only matters below about seven drivers. There is no Cab Treasure column to put beside it: no public rate card exists and we hold none, so the comparison has to come from your own quote.
Competitor figures quoted anywhere on this site are indicative market numbers, not quotations we hold. Confirm the current rate — and the line items around it — directly with the vendor.

Ask these of Cab Treasure, of us, and of anyone else on your shortlist. The answers are more revealing than the headline rate, and they are the numbers a quote is actually built from.

Compare the whole cost, not the headline rate
The buyer's guide has the requirements worksheet and the weighted scorecard we use, plus how each pricing model behaves as a fleet grows. Vendor-neutral — it works just as well for shortlisting someone other than us.
How much does Cab Treasure cost per month?
There is no published figure. Cab Treasure quotes per fleet and does not publish a rate card, and we do not hold one either — so any precise monthly number you find for it has been guessed. What you can establish quickly on a call: whether the licence counts vehicles or active drivers, whether a monthly minimum applies, the one-time implementation fee, what hardware is mandatory, and the notice period. Those five answers give you a real monthly cost.
Why can nobody tell me what Cab Treasure costs?
Because per-fleet quoting is the point. A vendor that publishes no list price can price each deal to what the fleet looks like and what the buyer will accept, which is commercially sensible for them and unbenchmarkable for you. Rivals will not publish a competitor's rate card because they do not hold one, and review sites carry no pricing data at all. The honest position is that no public number exists, and the only number that matters is the one on your own quote.
Is TaxiDex cheaper than Cab Treasure?
We cannot honestly say, because there is no Cab Treasure number to compare against. What we can do is publish ours so you can hold your quote up to it: £11/$14 per active driver on Starter (1–20), £9/$11 on Professional (21–100), from £7/$9 on Enterprise (100+), a £79/$100 monthly minimum, a 14-day free trial, and a one-time setup fee scoped and quoted on the demo call. Compare total first-year cost, not the monthly line.
What does switching away from Cab Treasure actually cost?
Three lines that are easy to miss. Data extraction: ask for a schema-level export rather than PDF reports, and expect vehicle-centric records, so driver mapping needs rebuilding. Configuration: zones, tariffs and dispatch rules usually live in config and export badly, so budget rebuild time rather than import time. Hardware: schedule the recovery of in-car units explicitly, and check whether anything still under a finance or support agreement keeps billing after you stop using it.
How do I compare a Cab Treasure quote against a cloud subscription?
Compare the same window. An installed licence-plus-hardware quote front-loads capital: implementation, machines, in-car kit. A cloud subscription spreads cost monthly and includes no hardware, but never stops. Put both into a three-year total, add support and upgrade charges to the installed side, add nothing for hardware on the cloud side, and check the notice period on each. Also confirm what is included versus a bolt-on module, because module scope is where two quotes stop being comparable.
